In the footsteps of a biblical custom that goes back thousands of years, Scent of Jerusalem is pleased to offer you Anointing oil - enriched with Frankincense and Myrrh, the highest quality ceremonial anointing oil produced entirely in the Jerusalem region of the Holy Land and brourht to you directly from the Holy City of Jerusalem. Ancient chronicles show the great significance of anointing oil in worship and dedication to God. Only the purest olive extract was considered acceptable for use in anointing; this clear oil was then blended with sweet spices and solemnly poured out on the priests and kings of Israel. Eventually the act of anointing became symbolic of the Holy Spirit coming upon the believer. Frankincense and Myrrh, two spices that were often added to the holy anointing oil, were valued in ancient oriental culture as gifts for royalty. This Anointing Oil is made with wxtraordinary care, using only virgin olive oil aquired from the trees around Jerusalem, with strict attention to purity - leaving it free of any trace of residual after-scent.
